  • What happens at the first physiotherapy appointment?
    This appointment is your opportunity to discover whether treatment is a good fit. During the session, you will talk with a caring therapist and create the right care plan specifically for your pain. We will provide you treatment as well.
  • How long is the appointment?
    Your appointment is typically from 40 minutes to one hour. It may vary based on an individual basis.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    You will want comfortable or loose clothing, such as athletic wear, that allows for comfortable movement. Also bring your insurance information so we can check your coverage.
  • Do I need doctor referral?
    You do not need a referral from your doctor prior to attending physiotherapy, as physiotherapists are considered primary health care providers. However, some insurance companies do require a referral from your doctor in order for you to be reimbursed for expenses.. If your insurance company needs doctor referral, there is walk-in clinic next to our clinic. We can get and submit the referral to your insurance company.
  • How many treatments do I need?
    Your caring therapist will put together a personalized care plan if you’re a good candidate for treatment to get back to doing what you love… pain-free. The number of treatments required depends on your conditions and severity of injury. You will know your care plan on day 1.
  • Do I need to wait until I have the results of my diagnostic test (X-ray, MRI, etc) prior to seeing a physical therapist?
    In most cases, it is not necessary to have the results of your diagnostic test prior to seeing a physical therapist. Our physiotherapist will assess you injurie and design a treatment plan based on his findings.
  • Do you treat clients injured in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA’s)?
    Yes, we treat clients who have been injured in Motor Vehicle Accidents. This includes cyclists and pedestrians hit by vehicles. Once you call and report a claim. We need your claim number, date of accident, adjuster’s name, phone number and fax number. This is the information we need to complete the treatment plan that is sent to your car insurance company. You may book an assessment prior to have all information, but you have provide us with the information as soon as possible.
